All ROX pieces are made in Sydney by our highly skilled craftspeople and Master Jewellers, using the finest materials and most sophisticated methods. Our attention to detail is second to none, and we strive to exceed your hopes and expectations with every jewel we create.

The process...

1. GEMSTONE~ The first step is choosing your gemstone – either from the vast selection from our private collection amassed over the decades, or from our established local and international gemstone merchants – we have access to rare and wonderful gemstones like no other. Start by telling us what type of gem or colour you desire and we will source accordingly. During your appointment you will be presented with a highly curated selection of gemstones to suit your brief. We will detail each option presented, give their suggestions and quality assessments, and answer any technical questions you may have. ROX will source gemstones on your behalf without any obligation to buy, and if the first selection doesn’t grab you, we will keep searching until we uncover the perfect stone. Anyone can make an appointment to view gemstones, this is a complimentary service and your only obligation is to attend your confirmed appointment. 2. DESIGN~ Once your gemstone is selected the concept sketching begins! We encourage you to try pieces from our window, or can show you through the ROX design archives in order to gather a clear understanding of exactly what you love (as well as what you don’t). You may also like to share images of things that inspire you, or describe your aesthetic in order to communicate your jewellery ideals. As creative artists as well as jewellers, ROX holds high respect for intellectual property. Under no circumstances will we copy another’s design. Any gathered images shared between client and designer will only be used as a basis for inspiration. The concept sketches are usually illustrated to scale and beautifully hand-painted. We will do a minimum of three designs for you to choose from, based on your brief. From there we can pick and choose which elements to include or exclude. These “bench” illustrations depict multiples views, so that you can see exactly how the jewel will measure and appear - there is very little room for misinterpretation. You will love seeing your dream jewel begin to come to life through this process. Sometimes you will know immediately which design speaks to your heart, other times it can take a few rounds of sketches. 3. PRODUCTION~ Upon approval of design, production can commence with a 50% deposit. It takes approximately 6 weeks for a bespoke jewel, and sometimes more than 8 weeks for more intricate designs. Once production is complete and it passes the ROX quality inspection, we will finally invite you back into the boutique to meet and take home your new ROX jewel! All ROX jewellery will be provided with a Valuation Certificate for insurance purposes and a complimentary clean whenever you visit. Aquamarine Ring

Custom made ring featuring a cushion cut Aquamarine of exceptional colour and quality that we sourced for the client. Set here in our double claw design in 18ct white gold with pavé diamond shoulders, and of course unique detail in the basket that gives it the ROX point of difference!

Sapphire & Diamond cluster ring

This bespoke ring was designed and made for the most beautiful couple. This dark but extremely lively Sapphire has an almost colour-change like quality, displaying blue in some light and green in other. Chosen from our private collection but originally sourced from Broken Hill, QLD. The cluster of side diamonds may be a common design but we made sure to create a very intricate and uniquely ROX basket underneath, and a tapered band that is lovingly shaped from half round to knife edge.

Steely-Green Tourmaline Ring

We came across two of these most unique and exquisite steely grey-green Tourmaline gemstones from one of our long-time gem merchants and knew we had to snap them up straight away! The smaller one was sold immediately and made into this design. The other (and larger) one we have still and shall make into something fabulous for stock soon!

Diana had a selection of jewellery that she no longer liked so we remodelled her champagne Diamonds and Ruby gems all into one-of-a-kind ROX pieces that she can now adorn herself with proudly.

Custom End-set Ring

Judith saw the red Garnet version in our window and fell in love so we custom made her her very own pink Tourmaline End-set ring.

Solitaire Engagement Ring

The client requested her Diamond ring to be low and minimal. We set it it east-west across the finger with compass style claws and in rose gold to still give it a distinctive appeal.

Grey Sapphire

Bespoke engagement ring for Alex to secretly propose to his love. At his requested we sourced him this exquisite and extremely rare Grey Sapphire and helped him design the ultimate ring to honour such and incredible gemstone.

Snake Wedder

Angie wanted a unique and contrasting wedding band to sit with her Sapphire engagement that we also designed and made. Inspired by our Snake ring we simplified and refined it to her liking.

Garnet Hearts

We sourced Ann a pair of red Garnet hearts, originally to only make a ring but she loved it so much we used the matching gem to make a matching pendant. The goal was to make a bold, retro style “bubble” look.

An incredible two toned Tourmaline gemstone sourced for Cathy and set in modest and striking ring design.

Diamond Remodelling

Elizabeth was no longer happy with her old ring so we rearranged the Diamonds and turned it into a completely new jewel! She desired something that was more eye catching and showed off the diamonds better and safe to say, all parties satisfied.

Custom-cut Citrine

Frances desired a ring that was big, bright, and golden! We sourced her a large and incredibly bright bi-coloured Citrine. It was originally an oval shape which we re-cut into a plump marquise shape tp give it more interest.

Opal Bespoke Ring

James and his son planned this very special gift for his wife, a spectacular Boulder Opal with incredible layers of mesmerising colour. We set it in a modest, contemporary design to simply show off this one-of-a-kind gem.

This particular gemstone is from our private collection. When Lucy was in search of a gemstone pendant that was somewhat unique and uncommon we knew exactly what to make for her.

A remodelling job for Sunita’s Diamond engagement ring

Nicole's wedding ring remodelled

Nicole had baguette and round diamond wedding bands that were well loved but after decades of marriage she felt it was time to give her symbol of marriage a new life. We gave the new ring a real ROX look, leaning on the designs of Moroccan architecture - a common theme in ROX designs - we utilised a stylised version of the Jali motif to encase her round diamonds. And chose to use her baguette diamonds sparingly on the tapered band to not overwhelm the overall look.
